In Costa Rica, having trusted lawyers is something you need to navigate all the realms here. In the States, I only used lawyers when needed, but here they are built into the everyday framework, and not all lawyers are created equally. Lots of expats worry about whether healthcare is up to par in Costa Rica, and I can safely say, absolutely. It, in many cases, is even better than the US in private facilities and, boy, is it cheaper. Way cheaper. There are many options when it comes to insurance, and many pharmaceuticals  can be bought over the counter, which makes life super easy. Not to mention all the spring water, organic food, and sunshine you will be getting, you may not even need a doctor anymore.
